How’s the San Antonio real estate market?

With over 3,000 ready-for-move-in homes now awaiting owners, rest assured that there’s plenty of real estate for sale in San Antonio, Texas. The market from 2001-2006 has been slow, and with a plethora of homes on the market now in 2008, you can surely find a great deal. This is because the companies selling know that you have several choices, so you are much more likely to find a steal in this market.

”I’m only looking to rent…”

If you’re hoping to find a place near campus, begin searching at least 2 months in advance to find the place you really want. There are several apartment complexes to the north-northwest outside of 1604. One bedrooms in this area start around $470 ($600+ 2br)

With many to choose from, we’d recommend using an apartment locator service to help you navigate the straits and find what you’re looking for. Plus, you get to drive around in your search on their gas. Not a bad deal..

Just south of campus in the areas running along Babcock Rd, W Hausmann, and UTSA Dr, you’ll find several houses available for lease and a few apartments scattered in there. This is a good option for groups of students wanting to get a place together. Also, sometimes, the homeowners have garage apartments available for rent. Keep your eyes open for signs in the yards and bring a pen and paper.
