Often a door hinge or any other wood screw applied hole may become striped out. Cabinet doors often have this problem, but hall and bedroom doors can lose screws as well. To replace the screw and make it stay, break off the end of a wooden match and stick the non-striking side in the hole. Then reinstall the screw and It will hold firm.
